Welcome to the website of Habibia Soofi Mosque in Cape Town, South Africa. We honour the arrival of Sufi Sahib to the shores of South Africa in 1895. The establishment of the Habibia complex of religious structures, especially the masjid, form part of the work of this remarkable labourer in the cause of Islam. Later his work was continued by Maulana Abd al-Latif and other members of the families who settled and lived at the Habibia complex. By honouring them we are inspired to follow in their footsteps and try to do the same in the cause of Islam.
